The Revlon 3-Barrel Jumbo Waver with Ceramic Technology is the best 3-barrel waver I have purchased. It creates large, S waves that have a natural look. My hair is thin, frizzy, and fried-the unfortunate victim of too much experimentation. The ceramic technology this iron has provides high heat while protecting my hair. The iron heats up fast and has 25 heat settings. It takes about 10 minutes to do my hair. Not too bad considering the waves last a long time, especially if I use hairspray. This iron is my favorite because the barrels are larger which gives me bigger waves, thus avoiding that tight, kinky look from the 90s. Holding the iron takes getting use to because it’s a bit bulky, but practice has made it easier to use. In my opinion, this is the best waver. It gets the job done at a great price!

Hot Tools professional 3 Gold Barrel Waver

The Hot Tools Professional 3 Gold Barrel Waver is another great professional styling tool that creates deep, sexy waves. The company says it can be used on any type of hair texture. This iron has 24K gold-plated barrels which retain heat well. With this iron, you also want to use hairspray to maintain your style longer and to avoid frizz. This waver has a “comfort-grip” handle that’s easy to hold while styling and the price is comparable to the Revlon waver. The barrels on this iron aren’t as big as the Revlon waver, so it gives my hair a smaller of a wave.

The WIGO Professional Ceramic Digital Control 3 Barrel Waver with Gentle Far Infared Heat & Thermal Response is the most advanced waver I have used. It has cool features, but it’s also the most expensive. Some of its features include a flat screen display, 50-second heat up, 150 watts of power, and infared heat that protects your “hair’s moisture”. This waver creates deep waves and gives me great volume. Even though this waver is a bit pricey compared to the others I’ve tried, I would say it gives me salon quality results. This is a great product if you are willing to pay for the extra features.
